Salt Therapy in Your Leisurequip Steam Room

During Roman times part of the bathing regime was to go from heat and warmth to sudden and invigorating cold temperatures.

The rapid body temperature drop makes your blood vessels contract, stimulating circulation and oxygen intake. Cold therapy treatment can be an effective treatment for asthma and other respiratory problems.

In an ice room fresh frozen rock ice is generated from an ice shoot and is rubbed over the skin to give instant cooling. This ice treatment also provides beneficial effects for certain skin conditions.

The effect is further extended with a cold shower in the Ice Cave.

Also worth considering in your plans is a salt room, which can be dry or wet. The room itself is covered in rock salt but this is more about mood setting. Salty air, which you cannot taste, is pumped into the therapy room from a dry saline diffuser and the room is kept at a constant temperature and humidity level. The salt air is said to help with numerous breathing conditions and is a natural treatment for respiratory illnesses.

A salt wet room is similar to a standard steam room but with salt mixed into the steam. This has an equally beneficial effect for some asthma sufferers and those with certain skin conditions. It doesn't matter where you are in the UK since, like the Romans, we like to travel to work, so Leisurequip supplies and installs salt therapy steam rooms across the UK.
